Girls Can be scientists
The international Day of Women and Girls in Science is later this week, so Monday night was a chance to try out some Science experiments.
With a collection of basic equipment and materials, we managed to make balloons inflate without touching them, make a lava lamps to demonstrate solar eruptions, and compare spinning eggs (hard boiled and fresh).
Spotty-Cat Penguin told us about a woman scientist called Hedy Lamar, who was a film star as well as an inventor during the War. Her work helped to pave the way for Wi-fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Some of the girls set up an eggsperiment to see whether toothpaste protects eggshells from vinegar.
Thank you to: Spotty-Cat Penguin, Cute-Koala Owl, Illy Penguin, Sugar Glider Owl and Inca Puffin for the photos.
Your points will be added to the chart.
