About Us
We meet in a former church in the village. The headquarters is set in its own grounds, so we can practice outdoor skills such as firelighting, and learn about the plants and animals around us. The trees include an Oak and a Rowan (planted for the 75th Anniversary in 1985) and our Ranger Unit (girls aged 14 and over) is called RowanOak.
We have 1 qualified leader, 3 Unit helpers and 2 Young Leaders.
At the moment there are 15 guides in 3 patrols.

New recruits
Brownies in Newton are automatically put on to our waiting-to-transfer list (unless parents request otherwise), and will receive an invitation when they are 10 and there is a place available.
Parents of other girls can register their daughters interest here: National Girlguiding website. Any offers of regular adult help will increase our ability to accept more girls into the unit. |
