Having a rest? Of course not!
Although we said we'd have a break in August, we decided to take the opportunity to have a meeting in person, in case it can't happen in the school term. So a few Guides met in the park one evening. We took part in an A to Z of Nature challenge, and played some well known games. Then we stopped for refreshments and a chat about things like going back to school, and what Guides would like to do this term.
For those who couldn't come, and would like to earn the points towards their theme badge, here's the 20 min activity.
By yourself, or with a partner, take a piece of paper and write A to Z down the side.
Go outside and spend 10 mins trying to find a natural item beginning with each letter. When you reach J, K, X or Z you can have something that includes that letter in the word.
You can think outside the box with descriptions of items as well as actual names.
If your family are up for it, have a competition to see who can find the most in the 10 mins.
Send the list in, and we can compare what you found.
In the meantime we've had some more photos in of activities from the Explorers At Home weekend.
