Celebrating Parliament Week
Last week was half term, but some of the Guides managed to complete their 'Art with a message' and display it in their front window so that passers by could see it. In addition everyone had some craft items and STEM suggestions and a few photos were sent in. You can see them below. This week we celebrated Parliament Week with a quiz, and a game to learn some of the words that are used in Parliament (Order! Order!) Then our MP Margaret Greenwood joined us. She told us about what she does when she's not in the Chamber at the House of Commons, and how anyone can ask her for help, or tell her their opinions. The girls told her their views on home schooling, and about what we'd been doing in Guides throughout the spring and summer. she also met a couple of their dogs! |
Home projects
Sugar Glider Owl and her sister have managed to raise £100 for West Kirby Christmas lights by delivering letters to their neighbours. Well done girls!
